Visitor in Wragby!
A toad paid a visit to the garden today, adding to the lovely wildlife that we already see in Wragby! The children were thrilled to see him hopping around - he even wanted to come into the Pre School Room! They felt his skin very carefully and then decided to build a house for him in the garden. They collected twigs and stcks and leaves and even got him a bowl of water.

It was a really amazing learning opportunity, not only sparking lots of questions about nature, but extended their thinking about what a toad would need in his natural habitat. There was lots of lovely teamwork and cooperation too! A very well looked after toad! You never know he may be a prince in disguise!!! |
