Happy Chinese New Year 2022!

We have been busy celebrating Chinese New Year across all of our settings this month with some exciting activities for the children to engage with!

The children have been exploring all sorts of Chinese foods, discussing different textures and guessing the ingredients by using all five senses. The children were challenged to use chopsticks in a variety of activities, promoting hand-eye co-ordination and the development of fine motor skills.

The Chinese alphabet has also been a topic of exploration, and the children have had a go at writing their own Lucky Red Envelopes to take home. The children have also made some beautiful Chinese lanterns as well as some brilliant tiger and dragon masks!
