Celebrating World Down Syndrome Day!

We all came into nursery today wearing our funkiest odd socks for the #LotsOfSocks campaign, and we took part in lots of blue and yellow-themed activities!

One of the children at our Swineshead nursery brought in some cupcakes and a lovely book to share called 'This Is Me!' which was such a fantastic learning opportunity. So many thoughtful questions were asked, and the children were so keen to understand more about Down Syndrome and the magic which makes us unique!

World Down Syndrome Day is held on the 21st day of the 3rd month to represent the triplication of the 21st chromosome, which causes Down Syndrome.
